I love it that on nostr when you stop to look at someone’s note, article, video, etc, it doesn’t automatically benefit them financially by way of views and impressions. If it turns out to be a good post I like, then I can zap it. But if it’s just crap, then why would I want it to benefit them that I paid it a little attention? On other platforms it would help them toward earning ad revenue. But I n nostr, it doesn’t help them at all because as soon as I realize it’s crap, I keep scrolling and give them nothing. 😂🫡

Could this be a limiting factor though? I'm thinking about content creators and their incentives on other platforms as things stand today. I guess we could also argue that we might not want to encourage a certain kind of content on Nostr anyway

😂 I'll be halfway through reading something good, or even pretty ok, sort of evaluating its zapability in the back of my mind... then I hit a point where I see some AI generated image or quasi-relevant meme and... well. Yeah. 😅
