If you remove your expectations about what a social protocol is supposed to be like or refrain from comparing it to others, you might realize that nostr isn’t dead at all.

Just like real life, there’s a transition from the loud and busy lifestyle of our youths to a much slower and peaceful lifestyle of our maturity. Slow is not a bad thing, but it takes time to get used to and appreciate.

More users and retention of existing users would be great, but there’s nothing stopping us from appreciating nostr the way it is now.

It'd be a neat experiment to have a social network where you can only interact with 100 people and during the term of the experiment (say a month) that the only people you're allowed to interact with online would be those 100 people. How well would you get to know them?
