Using arrows will be less confusing for people with a form of colour blindness, would implement A for design if I was in your shoes

Definitely A for arrows. Icons that use color only can be difficult for colorblind people to distinguish whereas the arrows are very clear.

I didn't even notice that the lightning icons had a different color 😄 So you're totally right, arrows are easier to grasp.
