FOSS is the first category that will bear exposure to these new vulnerabilities but it is not accurate to paint a picture that we are moving into an era where FOSS is inferior to closed source from a security perspective.
Infact, as you state, although it will experience the brunt of these AI driven attacks it will also be the first to harden to them.
AI will be used by good actors as well. And, with the continuity and momentum that open source allows it would seem the odds are in our favor.
