How do we now that they are printing? What does this data come from ?

I feel like this chart is misleading. If we know what global M2 is on a specific date, why don't we know the bitcoin price? Is this projected M2 or something?

Could it be that, in this case, Global M2 (which is measured in USD) increased not because of money printing but because the USD got weaker?
