I want Nostr to grow but I don't see newcomers staying, why don't we all ask them why and try to make some room for their expectations.

It is a very niche network, it can't accommodate most people, it's very hard to use and everyone keeps talking about bitcoin. I don't want to use WhatsApp, but if every single one of my family members and friends use it, the price to pay is too high. What does Nostr offer to most people? I've been building for the past 2 years a Nostr client and I just don't see any of my friends or family dedicating the time to learn how to use it, the same goes for bitcoin.

I partially agree. I don’t see any of my friends or family taking the time to learn Nostr. However, I do see them starting to look at Bitcoin and figuring out an approach that works for them: slowly realizing it’s not about getting rich tomorrow, but about thinking long-term, 8+ years ahead. I ...
