You take all these pains to thoroughly learn the subject, setting up the weirdest situations just to see how "feature X" actually works, and then write clearly about it. Plus, you know, tech books rarely make me laugh, but yours always do on at least every other page. (I mean that in a good way. Not like Dave Cutler writing that "Windows is a multi-user operating system. One user at a time." That one made me laugh, but not in a good way.)
