Wait until Feb then hit the rescue shelters for all the now unwanted Christmas presents. Dogs are gifts but they shouldn't given as gifts. Your kids will want any dog. Try to choose the right one for your family & yard. Be patient, the right dog will come along.

I lived most of my life without a dog. Last 4 years I have lived with my girlfriend’s dog once we moved in together and can’t imagine life without him. Your home life will be infinitely better, beautiful animals.
