It's just not usable without paid relays. It's cheap to attack, expensive to use. IMO : The soul of 2000s social media is centralised, ( probably the point ) and so imitating it needs centralisation. Maybe im getting old, but i increasingly like the idea of mail lists & rss ... Governments won't...
