They are looking at something like

and saying that in the limit ๐‘Žโ†’+โˆž it becomes close to ๐‘Ž๐‘š. Sorry, no: it becomes close to ๐‘Ž|๐‘š| if we choose the positive square root.

This doesn't matter for a positive mass ๐‘š. But then they take ๐‘š to be negative. ๐Ÿ™„
