I've been playing around with an "easy mode" for musicsideproject.com but while doing it people have been using the current version without issue so requiring users to host their own media might be the best balance.
That's what MSP has always been about. It's just a RSS feed creation tool and it's been doing just fine as that for years now.
All I really did was update the UI and the PC 2.0 spec stuff under the hood so it's still a cutting edge self hosting tool like it's always been.
The sites completely free to use and I just suggest a split for me and the podcastindex which funny enough was opt in and people told be to make it opt out because I deserved a split. The splits not even about the amount but the joy of getting it and knowing that means an artists just received a payment.
