I don't remember a time when supermarkets didn't sell tallow.. maybe some small grocery stores don't stock it but all the large ones do. always have. tallow isn't new, it's made from rendering down animal fat.

If you are looking for a good source, South Chicago Packing sells great Tallow & Lard. On Amazon. I get plenty of lard from bacon, etc., but find tallow to be a bit more hassel, so I just buy now.

I've learned what tallow is thanks to you today. If it were primarily used as food like lard, I would have known about it much earlier..🤔

Where the hell did they do with all of this tallow prior to it gaining popularity again?

How long can it be stored?

But is it suet or just general beef fat. The suet on a grass fed cow is 2-3lbs whereas a grain finished cow is 40lbs
