Tim Cook did a pretty decent job as CEO of Apple after Steve died. He entered in 2011 at an Apple valuation of $350 Billion, and leaves the company at $4 trillion.

~1,046% return

So if you invested in Apple back in August 2011, within ten years you'd have had several multiples of the primary, excluding dividends (if any)
