Tech is power, how you wield the power defines how the future looks. Same with guns, same with clankers.
Not everything can or should be reduced to power. Thinking in those terms is a bias toward utility, which tends to create blindness to other types of human good that are not themselves useful or powerful, at least on the same terms.
