Oh ya, definitely a Nostr-wide issue. I previously used Amethyst as well and same issue there. Though I was able to avoid the issue in the past by connecting to my own relay that would multiplex notes from a bunch of public relays, which would save on client data use. But with the outbox model that's not really as feasible. The cost of decentralization I suppose.
