RE: “Where the hell one can swap sats for
#XMR in a “safe” & no KYC way?”
Depending on amount, location, and how much you want to hunt for a good rate: go P2P if the stack is large, or a fixed-rate instant swap if you just want it done.
P2P
- Bisq (
@Bisq ,
https://bisq.network): BTC/XMR over Tor + multisig. Platform fees + security deposit and on-chain fees.
- RetoSwap (
https://retoswap.com): Haveno-Reto is the
#Monero-native Bisq fork. Same model as Bisq, Monero at the core, Tor. Prefer this over Bisq if the destination is XMR.
- BasicSwap (
https://basicswapdex.com): atomic swaps + decentralized order book, 0% protocol fee (only network fees). BTC <-> XMR both ways. Heavier setup, thinner book than instant swaps, but no custodian and no platform cut.
- Private XmrBazaar seller (
https://xmrbazaar.com/search-category/buy-exchange/other/): use only with multisig escrow or a bonded user. ALWAYS. (I try to weed out suspicious offers proactively, but better safe than sorry.)
Atomic swaps
- EigenWallet (
https://eigenwallet.org, ex-UnstoppableSwap). Desktop BTC -> XMR atomic swaps, no account, no KYC. No platform fee; you pay the maker’s markup + Bitcoin network fees.
- BasicSwap again, if you want a two-way book instead of a maker list.
Instant swaps and aggregators
There are a lot of them, see lists:
- KYCNotMe list
@KYCnot.me https://kycnot.me/?categories=exchange - Monerica’s list
https://monerica.com/exchangesThe two I know as long-standing projects with good people running them are Trocador (
https://trocador.app) and OrangeFren (
@OrangeFren.com https://orangefren.com). Filter hard for Never-KYC: a "no-KYC aggregator" still routes through a partner that CAN freeze a deposit!
There are also projects based on Hyperliquid ( hyperfoundation.org), and also Thorchain ( thorchain.org) recently added Monero, DYOR them if you want.
Rule of thumb: small stack + speed -> aggregator with a Never-KYC filter. Large stack + “I do not want a third party holding anything” -> RetoSwap / Bisq / BasicSwap / eigenwallet.
After the swap, move XMR off the receiving address.
*These are just my thoughts, based on personal and community perception of how well-known and reputable the people behind these projects are. I do not accept any “sponsored posts” offers to mention any swaps online.
I added this list to my Substack

https://serai.exchange/).
