What are those standalone devices? How do you use them?
These are emergency communication stations with plenty of digital features.
Power one at home and you get a hotspot with web chat (NOSTR extensions supported) to leave messages on the public room or private messages to someone. It is a mesh device so it will automatically mesh with other XPRS stations it can listen.
Then it has bluetooth and those with the XPRS app on their phones can use right away without pairing. When it has Internet access then it will use reticulum to connect with others around the web.
Just like APRS, when you are heard by a station on the woods over radio or whatever then that station in case it is connected to further links (e.g. satellite or internet) then it will announce that it is hearing you and will bridge messages from those far away links to you.
NOSTR based, so you already know how versatile notes can get.
