Honestly this app is pretty good. I tried it out because someone in a coffee bar told me about it. I didn't realize that it's using Bitcoin.

How can I get some so I can tip people? What is an nsec?

You can get them P2P or buy from an exchange and every now and then some folks sling some coins. A Nsec is your private key to your NOSTR account and is very important if you want to use different applications that run on NOSTR.

An nsec is basically just a password you can't change (private key). Probably the easiest way to get bitcoin to use on nostr is with CashApp if you're in the states
