That wasn't really the point... I remember a thing S. Ammous said that stuck with me when asked about tax being used to help less fortuneate. Obviously he disagreed, unsurprising but he was then asked if he ever donated to charity, to which he said 'no I never donate to charity' which gives me a feeling that some people would just consign certain people to a life of absolute misery, I know that's not everyone but I think a good guage of a society is how it deals with vulnerable. Bitcoiners love productive people and some people, through no fault of their own, aren't.

I don't have all the answers but it is something that concerns me.

i personally think majority of charities are a scam. it's big business, playing on people's emotions. you also receive subsidies and it's a tax write-off for the rich. so yeah, i agree with him. my capital is better allocated elsewhere.
