We ‘deserve’ nothing. You hope to earn this scholarship by showing that the gift bestowed on you will benefit humanity, even if in some small way. Just my two sats.

This is super contextual, but maybe an essay on why you don't deserve it and how that'll positively impact your use of it. At the very least it'll likely stand out vs the other answers. Few people will write about how they aren't entitled and why that's a good thing.
