It raises the question of what is bitcoin without its massive hashrate. What is the value proposition there?

The Monero Bros decided like 10 years ago that Bitcoin was already captured and that we needed to do something else while maintaining first principles.
I don't really understand why a minimal hashrate version of Bitcoin is preferable.

Can you explain that to me?

Great question, something I've considered myself as well. Bitcoin is still Bitcoin without the massive hashrate, it's just a lot harder to defend and protect. That's why I believe the fully sovereign Bitcoiner is and individual who self custody's, runs a node and contributes hashrate through mining....

Given that assertion, I'd say y'all made a far more sensible approach than the Blake2B crowd. I don't share that assertion, fwiw. But if it's one that is held XMR makes a heck of a lot more sense than Blake2B. I don't really see either of them being nearly as decentralized, but Blake2B doesn't eve...
