I’m moving off of DiVine looking elsewhere. I have been on Own, there was and may still be Drakula? Think it was Farcaster. Lens use to have a few but dwindling right now. So maybe Primal or Nos… ...
Divine is interoperable with other nostr clients like soapbox and amethyst.
I have been using peer-to-peer networks and distributed computing for almost 39 years.I like cryptography, as in math. I think timestamp servers are useful for stamping electronic coins like a government time-stamps metal coins with a specific date or has two people sign a silver dollar bill to attest that it is backed by 1 ounce of silver. Bitcoin basically timestamps every electronic coin on the network 52,600 times per year. Iny opinion, this makes it more efficient and reliable than government stamps of approval. Much of my thesis actually is based upon the stuff Adam Smith wrote about coinage in 1776, but it's difficult to explain because most people don't use cash or coins anymore.
I also think these timestamps are useful for certification like elections. Simpleproof is doing some interesting work in this area. There is probably something similar that can improve notary services but that can also be done with open timestamps, but I don't think this requires a new timestamp server/blockchain. So far, it looks like it is only useful for preventing double spending...And ironically monetizing national debt with stable coins. I'm not a fan of national debt though.
I like nostr because it does not have timestamps. The sepc266k1 eliptic curve is used as an identity to sign messages, not transactions. The hashcash based stamps are not required since our social media posts, unlike coins, are non-transferable.
I am not familiar with Drakula and have never used Farcaster. What problems do you think these web3 services solve?
I also like Taco Bell. I don't eat it often, but I enjoy supporting businesses that accept Bitcoin as payment, such as Steak N Shake and Square terminals.
Taco Bell does not accept Bitcoin, but I sent 21 sats to the Taco Bell npub.cash address and it worked.
I find Chaunian e cash interesting and I am interested in using it to pay for tacos. 😀
