Gamers Nexus researchers found LG TVs scanning entire local networks, mapping phones, PCs, watches, printers and other devices connected, and fingerprinting on-screen content continuously.

They also found that microphone audio was being recorded even while the screen appeared off.

Recordings were stored locally without an internet connection and uploaded once the TV reconnected. Muting one microphone did not stop a second from capturing ambient audio.
