County line on the lake for BBQ. Get a half loaf of the bread. It's on bull creek so you can feed turtles and fish right off the patio (great if you have kids)
If you go to see the bats at the bridge, take a red flashlight and shine em at the trees when they come out. (Red doesn't bother them like white, and seriously, you'll be the hero of all the ground watchers, otherwise no one will see much at all without one)
If you tour the capitol and have an LTC you can easily skip all of security. Just tell em you have an LTC and they'll scan it and off you go.
If you have a lady wanting photo ops on Congress, grab a coffee at Jo's, it's pretty good. Theres a photo op on the side wall anyway.
