It’s sad to me that bitcoin has become political or associated with the cringe “crypto bro” scammers. A *lot* of are against bitcoin now because it is perceived as a tool used by the right or tech bros.

Lots of people are going to suffer if they make bitcoin a political issue. It’s the one lifeboat we got. Hopefully nostr can help change that perception.

I just ignore the political angle of Bitcoin because both the left and right in the US really hate btc anyways even if now they are trying to suck up to coiners… hell a lot of our old decrepit senators still don’t understand how the internet works let alone any aspect of btc

Hard to change people. It is easier to lie to people, than to convince people they were lied to. I think it is connected mainly to ignorance. They don't really care about having a based opinion, and go after things if they are really true. Easier to outsource it.

It’s sadly the same as with everything. People generalize and then make their judgment. The good thing is, this won’t stop Bitcoin.

I’ve been trying to express this since I got on this platform. Maybe people will listen when one of their superheroes says it. The more NOSTR and BTC acts like a closed community, that is not friendly to outsiders. The less likely it succeeds.
