Hey nostr šŸ‘‹ #asknostr

For those that listen to our content @The Progressive Bitcoiner, do you find our name…distracting?

I’m talking about the word ā€œprogressiveā€

Do you find it’s a don’t judge a book by its cover situation for those that might not be crazy about the word progressive? Or do you love the name/word? Comment below from any of the 3 options:

1) keep the name
2) change the name
3) I don’t listen, doesn’t feel like it’s for me

3 But I was curious to listen to it. What are you talking about in it?

Keep the name. I don't think it's distracting.
StackinBeets · 101w
Hey I don't fall under any of those numbers but here's my view: I haven't listened to your content *specifically* because of that name. The word progressive has become so tainted by fiat shenanigans that it is a big turnoff to hear it. Even though the word progress is a positive one. Thing is, I wou...

I was intrigued by the name two years ago when nostr:npub12wu7095378nwykqs0yj39t7fjsvvglay26cajjuee80vtte0vyjsf482kk launched the podcast, because nobody else seemed to be talking about #bitcoin from this angle. Since then, the space has grown a lot, and political labels have become more meaningless...

When I think from first principles what the word "progressive" means, it's the idea that one wants the world to be a better place tomorrow than it is today; when I think of the word "conservative" it's the idea that we want to preserve the world in its pristine state and save something for the next ...

I am in the ā€œ1ā€ camp. I think you’re swimming upstream trying to get progressive folks to understand and care about bitcoin, but the name is an honest signal for the stories you tell.

1. Keep the name. Two reasons: — It’s important to appeal to people who identify as progressive. — Also, right-wing nutcases like to think that they have twisted the word ā€œprogressiveā€ around so that it’s somehow derogatory (like ā€œwokeā€). Brave conservatives who still have a li...

DON'T LISTEN. PROGRESSIVE IS A WORD USED BY WHITE YUPPIES TO PROJECT INTELLECTUAL SUPERIORITY AND FEIGN VIRTUOUS MORALS WHILE SUPPORTING ATROCIOUS POLICY POSITIONS THAT HURT THE VERY PEOPLE THEY CLAIM TO BE SO CONCERNED ABOUT BECAUSE THEY DON'T FEEL THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS UNTIL IT LANDS O...

Keep the name. I was in politics for 15 years, and very few people on the left or right have any damn clue what the word "Progressive" really means. Even if they think they do, they're not zoomed out enough. The real progressive movement got started with the Magna Carta. When in doubt, zoom out.

reads "progressive" gets bored also in south america/spain gets much worse

So nostr:npub164q45vfa8prpl7f63stsl9qm9n22v6julkasjdqxjc8kevchsj0sp42rl3 as a conservative, this name question is peak ā€˜progressive.’ Keep the name!

3. Progressive just makes me think that you are a bleeding heart democrat/vegan/global warming propaganda believer šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø. Simply from a book by its cover, have never listened to you āœŒļø

First reaction was to pass over it. The name already signalled the content, therefore ignore (since in my mental map that points to the 2+2=5 Math rather than the Numeris en Vires Math). However, I've been following your npub for a while and get what *you're* about. So that makes me curious to take...

Keep the name... Youve done lots of pow to build the brand/name. Also it's important to represent for people who get off put from the very obvious right wing, left brained, echo chamber.

Keep the name. Because I stayed awake in US history class, I know it stands for the fundamental reforms to capitalism which later enabled the United States to navigate between the extremes of fascism and socialist revolution in the 1930s. I thank progressives for: • the right to vote for all non-...

I haven't listened to your podcast but I also don't listen to any Bitcoin podcasts. I'd vote 3 but not because I oppose your viewpoints. I just wanted to say that it's important to be clear and stand for what you believe. Your name sets the expectation of what kind of content and viewpoint you prov...
