GM good people of Nostr!
In an age of spiritual warfare its interesting to notice which passages from the bible have been omitted from the newer versions..
Anyone see anything different from my 1560 old english Geneva bible vs a modern one?
Matthew 17:21

Mark 9:29

Supposedly the verses about fasting and prayer to drive out demons "were not part of original texts"

Hopefully none of you ever need to draw on this knowledge, but thought it was worth sharing just in case ๐Ÿ™ƒ
I've also heard when people are being energetically attacked (whether in psychedelic journeys or regular waking life) calling on Jesus' name, reciting psalms 23, the Lord's prayer, and just "praying in spirit" (as Ephesians 6:18 puts it) are all valuable tools

Some food for thought for your Sunday. Blessings to all of you, be well!

I'm extremely interested in this kind of stuff. I need to get my hands in an ancient bible. A series of this info would be really cool

Its been going on since the beginning. Whole gospels were literally burned by the organized church. Luckily we've gotten some (but not all) back in archaeological discoveries.

KJV has those verses. I never liked seeing them removed.

now why fasting? fasting consumes lipids (fat) - after a prolonged fasting period, fasting goes to consume the lipids (fat) in the brain ((brain is almost all lipids (fat)) - but it consumes first the older lipids in the brain - memories are stored in the older lipids of the brain - prolonged fastin...
