You see all of this religions done this in past just because they wanted to keep people off pork cuz at those times it wasnt safe to eat and they didnt know how to deal with it. Same as hijab and burka... women in those times would be brutally raped by men in desert so they made a decision to cover women up not to be sexualy appealing to men and be less exposed... as a lot of other things in other religions as well... all the religious texts were basically life manuals. The Gods had to be introduced to explain things they couldnt understand. Every natural phenomenon was described as Gods punishment or reward. I dont have a problem with religions while they keep their people at bay but in this modern times to be led by ancient scripts for me is just not for the level we as humanity evolved too... Science has evolved ... our way of life has evolved. We should know better and finally realise that those scripts and religion is a beautiful tradition that we all should cherish. Tradition nothing else. But then again this is all just my humble opinion which clashes with many in todays modern age. 🤸‍♀️✨️🥳🙆🏻‍♀️
