Idk mane. You can pay your bills with BTC through many services. Hell others you can sell into fiat to buy wtfe you need on the spot. Works well for me.
In 2016-2017 I had a Visa card that let me spend Bitcoin anywhere. That got shut down for tax reasons. In 2015 I built a PC and paid for all the parts on Newegg directly in Bitcoin. He's right, it actually used to be easier to spend Bitcoin than it is now.
