I used to be a Chrome maxi. I switched to Firefox + uBlock Origin last year and haven’t looked back.

Just use Brave. I am surprised how many people still use google chrome. Google is a privacy nightmare.

You could try nextdns.io for your dns, it has a pretty effective blocklist setup.
