I don't think adding any on-chain addresses is conducive to an open society.

The lightning network offers privacy. An XMR address, Bitcoin address, stablecoin address, etc. is not private in my opinion.

An XMR address signals that you accept monero.

A stable coin address signals that you accept stable coins.

A lightning address is like an email address.

You can theoretically accept monero with a lightning address.

The difference is nobody needs to know you're a USD stablecoin maxi if your zaps get atomically swapped to electronic fiat.

Adding on chain addresses signals that you accept monero or whatever. That causes tribalism, mystical thinking, arguing, and a closed society.
