Mate 16% yearly interest is not a walk in the park. To get that return one will have to be exposed to risky, unreliable assets. Also you should consider 4-5% inflation silently corroding that amount. After 10 years of 5% inflation, one would need 3250 USD to purchase the same 2000 USD purchased 10 years before. If it was that easy everyone would be selling their homes and living stress free between resorts on pacific islands.
