The clearest example was trump running on releasing the Epstein docs. The historically anomalous bit about this wasn’t a politician failing to follow through on a promise, it was the total lack of forced accountability.
Even more glaring was the now viral video of a town council voting for a data center to be built with a literal majority of their voters standing in the bleachers protesting against it.
Right in their faces, they basically said “no matter how you vote, you get the data center anyway”.
The historical and natural counter for this has ALWAYS been violence. But people won’t even engage in the mildest forms of it unless they are communists or islamists.
