It's a key replacement system.

If you lost your private key or if it has been stolen, Inkan allows you to revoke the key and replace it with a new one.

You can also use it to rotate your keys preemptively from time to time.

This gives you a permanent online identity. It was a precondition for me to have something like that before starting to use nostr.
