Nintendo like many companies are working on complying with EU laws, among them is the upcoming requirement for replaceable batteries.

And if I parsed this correctly it seems like they're going to make a separate version only for Europe. Almost impressive how much of an asshole Nintendo can be.
Claiming that a replaceable battery is impossible is one thing. But making a model with a replaceable battery, then only making it available in Europe is extra asshole-y
