I like the way the Stone Choir guys put it, when it comes to grave/serious matters that you want people to be aware of, you shouldn't charge them for it.

It would be one thing if they were offering information and content you can't get anywhere else but like... i can listen to people be hopeless and talk about star trek in other places for free.
