I was raised Catholic. In the Catholic Bible footnotes it says the mark of the beast was about Rome under Nero.
I know the Christian interpretation is different, but I think the book is about the end of the monetary world, A.K.A. hyperinflation.
I think Nero hyper inflated the currency and all hell broke loose. This pattern is repeated over and over again. I believe Bitcoin, held in self-custody, is the the only viable way to prevent this pattern.
Unfortunately the world seems to be in a debt spiral, money printing fervor once again. Bitcoin fixes this as long as BlackRock et al don't centralize and paper-ize it.
