We need to make people understand that Bitcoin is like Linux or FreeBSD. You have the option of using proprietary, closed-source money like fiat money, or using free, open-source money like Bitcoin.

Linux won by being better, not by convincing people their current OS was evil. Bitcoin will do the same. The product is the pitch.

That is a perfect take. Now I know who is a complete waste of time. If you can't/won't run Linux then I can't/won't mention bitcoin.

This is the issue, most people don’t understand the distinction of proprietary vs. FOSS, so they can’t carry this understanding over into different domains, like money.
