Why have I been critical lately of the theories of anarcho-capitalism, where everything boils down to contracts and ignores the moral—or spiritual—aspect?

Because if we reduce everything to the market, we’re going to lose this war. Life isn’t all about economic gain.

Human beings must have a higher purpose than just economic gain.

It’s legitimate for a chef to cook junk food that makes people sick (as long as they’re informed), but if that chef has morals or loves their craft, then their conscience won’t let them cook that crap.

The same goes for Bitcoin: many assets will end up rising more than Bitcoin, or perhaps we’ll reach a point where Bitcoin’s price doesn’t rise—and we must be clear that Bitcoin isn’t about getting rich; it’s about honor and dignity.

If we aren’t clear on the moral and spiritual purpose of our existence—which is to create a better world for our children—we will never win.

It's much more of a moral and logical / philosophical framework (that can be applied to economics because economics is just st...

We don't need illusions like moral, religion, state or anything else to be good. The simple insight that we’re wealthier when we practise division of labour and prefer to trade, therefore accepting private property to transact with others, and regard the costs of violence as higher than those of c...

I think the ancap line of thinking is that, on net, the market magically makes people more moral/ethical. Even if it were true, it requires that literally everyone intellectually harness themselves to capitalism in order for it to work. It's the same blind spot of any religion or cult or kooky ideol...
