"I can't do Airplane mode at night.. what if my family calls?"

You can.

Airplane mode kills Cellular, WiFi & Bluetooth.

IT DOES NOT kill Ethernet.

iPhone → USB Ethernet adapter → Ethernet cable → Router.

Your iPhone gets internet. No wireless. No RF.

Signal rings.
Facetime rings.
WhatsApp rings.
Telegram rings.

Your family can still reach you at 3am.

Fifteen dollars.

This is the hack nobody's talking about.

How to set it up:

1. Get a Lightning/USB-C to Ethernet adapter (I'm also using a USB-A to USB-C converter but you can skip that)

2. Plug an Ethernet cable from your router into the adapter
3. Plug the adapter into your iPhone
4. Turn ON Airplane Mode
5. Make sure WiFi & Bluetooth stay OFF
6. Turn off the router's WiFi

Your body gets 8 hours of peace.

$15 adapter. Wired internet. Full reachability.

No excuses left.

"Solid workaround for airplane mode. One note: some carriers disable VoIP/Sakahi over Ethernet—test calls first. On a darker note, read about Russia evacuating Bushehr staff; makes me wonder if they're prepping infrastructure disruptions beyond RF killswitches. https://theboard.world/articles/r...

If only our ISP offered a WiFi-free modem. Can't even disable it.

What brand adapter. I just got one and it flashes a bright blue light when during use?
