Yesterday I watched the following episode of 'Climate Town'. It was a somewhat different episode, which I enjoyed especially. This is because I used to be into this topic and watched a lot of videos from Louis Rossman. A lot.
And I used to do little repairs on some devices myself. Even apple ones. Back then I often used ifixit and can highly recommend it.

OT: Mission Impossible: I need to repair a war-torn '00s MacBook with an outdated Debian OS version via USB drive. I too try to repair everything I can, though it is becoming increasingly difficult as many things seem to be engineered specifically to be hard to nearly impossible to repair. 3D printing improved the situation of course.

Another, broader consideration: people over 40 should remember when thing simply lasted forever (almost anything up to the mid '80s) or for decades (up to the mid '90s).
