Yes. But I've never owned or operated one made of wood and heated by an actual fire...those might be an acception. Pools are the same.

Yes. Absolutely. Once you turn it on you can never turn it off, such a waste for occasional use. The only good reason I've seen to have them is older people with arthritis that use them daily. Of course, if you can heat the water with bitcoin miners, the equation changes.

Wood fired hot tubs are fun if you can fill from a lake. Its more work but you don't need to keep them always running. Ive never been a fan of sitting in chlorine water.

I heard they cause subcutaneous fat development, could be a rumor. Maybe it's a rumor. IR saunas with incandescent lamps/IR heaters are far better IMO.
