It appears that is the only way. Israel, the only country with illegal nukes and not part of any treaty has "mad king" literally baked into its military policy called the Samson Option.
To me it's highly hypocritical of Israel to demand Iran give up their nuclear program when Israel stole their nuclear technology from the US, and against the wishes of the US president, Kennedy, who they may have helped to eliminate due to his opposition to their program. At least the US developed their own nukes, with the help of Nazi scientists, I believe (I haven't seen Oppenheimer yet).
