Last night Republicans & Democrats failed to reach an agreement on even a temporary roll-forward of the state budget, so unless overnight moves pull a rabbit out of the hat then it looks like a second Trump presidency state 'shut-down' will commence later today.

And if that does happen its pretty clear that this time the Tangerine Tyrant will use this as a mechanism fo decimating the public sector in the USA; attrition that that will likely take decades to eventually (if ever) repair!
