I think if they asked, he'd step in. Just my gut.

Lowest risk, highest reward: legalize it.

Had breakfast with a Canadian friend yesterday and he said it's so bad in Quebec that he is hoping to move to Alberta or Florida soon. He thinks Alberta will successfully succeed, sue Canada, and then they lay down and join the US because they will be bankrupt without Alberta

Idk about this. I'm all for free markets. This is sounding really similar to like saying "Highest risk, highest reward action Germany couldve taken in 1933 is taking over Poland" What happened to outcompeting and hash wars instead of pillaging and plundering. Feels like the plot is lost here...

Canada (Alberta) has no army to speak of, so you'd have to play us in hockey - winner take all. You hear what Canada did to Russia (then the Soviet Union) in 1972? We beat them in the last 90 seconds of the final game. So there! You don't want to piss off a frost bitten Canadian boy, they'll out...

Taking over??? What does that mean? Militarily? They should pitch Alberta on joining the union.

Nah, Venezuela... Canuk oil continues to be dumped into the US market at firesale prices! (But for some strange reason, don't here youse bleating about this )

I’m not for military adventurism but if they ask nicely I’d love to have them as a state. To hell with what the coastal Canadians think about the deal. I actually think there’s a timeline where BC to Cali break away and the US Alberta and Alaska join and then the NE US and eastern Canada form ...

While I agree I do like Madex’s idea where Alberta, with the thumbs up from the US, becomes its own place like a Monaco

Alberta would probably democratically vote to join the union. If federal Canada tries to block it, we could offer to trade them California

Before or after Civil War II?

Yeah I live in Alberta. There's a high single or low double digit percentage of the population that would entertain the idea of joining the US, but the idea is still pretty unpopular with the large majority. All of this is ignoring indigenous groups that signed treaties with the federal government t...

That sounds amazing! As the unofficial spokesman for Alberta here on NOSTR I say we’re in ! 🤝

☝️Uh, no. Clearly it would be to depose the current Israeli government, placing boots on the ground to occupy like the U.S. has done to so many vassal states. May not be great ROI in fiat, but windfall in quality of life. 🥾 🧃

As a former Albertan, I agree. Probably 40% support from Alberta. Though Alberta and freedom may be better if Alberta was on its own.
