Sorry for not believing you. BRC20 tokens are literal shitcoins on top of Bitcoin, and there are millions of them, stored forever on plebs’ nodes.
> could be better, could be worse, this is why opensats exists, which i donate my time
And how exactly could it be worse? People getting commit access by sleeping with well connected dudes. Contentious upgrades pushed through despite clear pushback. Node runners being called retards and “not technical enough” to participate in discussion. Bugs left unfixed because they’re “controversial” or too complex to bother with. Do I need to go on? Devs seemed far more responsible toward Bitcoin before we started throwing money at them. Maybe OpenSats is the problem.
> people sending transactions you dont like is not the biggest threat to bitcoin, you fell for the psyop, you got tricked into advocating for a pro censorship fork of bitcoin
There are no transactions I “don’t like.” There are monetary transactions, and then there are hacks, exploits, and shitcoins - things Bitcoin was never built for. No node runner agreed to store this garbage on a machine they run for free, and none of the creators of such garbage intend to spend it. I don’t see your solution for this, apart from calling it “censorship,” which is intellectual dishonesty and a weak-ass strawman.
> nope, alienated most of my “followers” when i deleted my x account
Nope, you haven’t. That was a popular move. You have as many followers here on Nostr as you had on Twitter, if not more. You avoid controversial topics like developer capture because then you might have to admit the current grant system is flawed and prone to capture. And that the real censorship comes from the people distributing the money, exactly as it does in any TradFi system we know of.
