The biggest problem in bitcoin right now is the coupling of the consensus engine with core code.

Even knots can't get away from it.

The consensus engine needs to be a spec. Just a document. But right now it's c code that is revered as the source of truth. Efforts to move it out of core are underway, but it still remains c-code and a problem until we can map it out completely in plain English or atleast pseudo code.

I thought LLMs would have solved this by now.
