The regime's operational efficiency is conspicuously absent. While rescuers try to reach La Guaira to save lives, the National Police (PNB) decided it was better to block the highway. Now, the rescue workers must abandon their vehicles and walk for miles under the scorching sun. The logic behind the blockade? Nonexistent, except for the desire to control every movement. They prefer that the rescuers waste valuable time walking, rather than allow them to reach the disaster zones quickly. Bureaucracy seems to be their absolute priority. It's a display of pure indolence. The volunteers carry medical supplies and technical equipment, but for the authorities, the only thing that matters is demonstrating who's in charge. The lives of the victims take a back seat to police whims. While the country struggles to recover, the regime's invisible walls are being erected on the main roads. Humanitarian aid becomes a hostage to the absurd restrictions of those who should be guaranteeing free passage to save the nation .
