But I also very much appreciate removing intermediaries as well as the apt ivy analogy.

I do think that we need to eliminate a LOT of fraud prior to successfully having direct and unencumbered survival aid. Of course, with the right oversight, people in true documented need should be able to prove it...but I do feel it requires in-person proof/documentation/interview. We simply cannot trust the integrity of everyone (unfortunately) as evidenced by the billions of dollars of fraud coming to the surface.
