I think most Bitcoiners haven’t fully grokked how much work Gloria (and Greg Sanders and others) did to get package relay and zero-fee anchors and TRUC over the line and how absolutely critical this work is to Lightning, Ark, Spark, and nearly everything bitcoiners are going to be using over the next few years.

Yeah it's an insane amount of work for a decent sized fix. I think you're right about how important it is. I think also demonstrates that we are approaching the point of diminishing returns for changes to bitcoin core mempool policy. Time for a new model.

That doesn’t excuse the oversight of lifting the OP_RETURN limit, which sends a legal signal that bitcoin is a haven for arbitrary storage (rather than tightening it, sending the opposite signal). If you don’t get it, then you clearly don’t understand the threat environment.

As a less technical pleb, which version did these features get merged into? Trying to learn more. Currently running 29.2 native Core as a fence-sitter 🤷‍♂️

Spark is garbage from the outset. We'll see about how Ark actually helps trustless p2p exchange of bitcoin. I think it won't. Lightning is also becoming increasingly centralized, hostile/useless for nodes with pleb-reasonable capacity, and dominated by morons selling nothing but needless complexity ...
